Learn how to make your first mini-quilt! You'll learn all of the cutting, assembly & binding skills required to go forward and create more adventurous projects.
This group is mixed level, however it is not suitable for complete beginners. If you've made some basic projects at the sewing machine and are confident with sewing straight seams and threading up the machine, then you would be able to tackle this class. If not, then we recommend that you try our Beginner Sewing class first.
IMPORTANT:
Please check here before booking as once purchased, tickets are non-refundable.
SUITABILITY:
This group is mixed level, however you must be able to fill a bobbin, thread a machine and sew with an accurate straight seam allowance. Please see above.
If you are brand new to sewing altogether, we suggest you try one of our introductory sewing classes or get in touch to ask us for advice.
This class is suitable for adults only, age 16+.
WHAT'S INCLUDED:
- Professional instruction with Aileen
- Printed copy of the sewing pattern
- Use of our Janome digital sewing machines, overlockers, cutting tables and studio equipment
- Endless encouragement and advice!
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
STUDIO ACCESS:
We are delighted to be able to welcome you to our refurbished studio! It is accessed from the main shop down a flight of stairs from the shop with alternative access direct to the basement for anyone requiring an entrance without steps. If you do have any accessibility needs or questions, please let us know in the comments when you book or drop us an email.
When attending any class, we will meet you at the shop front door 10 minutes before the start time. If you are running late and arrive to a closed front door, please go to the side alley (Wilson's Close) to the side entrance (with the bright pink door!) and ring the doorbell.
