RETURNS & REFUNDS
We really hope to always send you fabric, notions and accessories that you will love working with. However in the event that you are not satisfied, please drop us an email.
It is not possible to return, exchange or get a refund/credit on products that have been cut to your specification, e.g. fabric or trimmings/ribbon/elastic cut and sold by the metre.
To be eligible for exchange on other purchases, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you purchased it. Your item must be in the original, unopened packaging and in fit-for-resale condition. Unused and unopened products can be returned in their original condition within 14 days for exchange or store credit. When making an exchange or return, the customer will incur all associated shipping costs.
Refunds can only be issued in the case of an item being faulty or damaged. In this situation, you must email us within 48hrs of receipt of your order, with information (and photos where applicable) or the issue that has arisen.
If we have made an error with your order, please also let us know within 48hrs of receipt and we will gladly rectify the issue to the best of our ability.
WORKSHOPS, CLASSES & EVENTS, TERMS & CONDITIONS:
All workshops must be paid for in full in order to secure your place. We are unable to hold any places without full payment.
Please check the dates carefully prior to booking. Once an order is placed it cannot be refunded.
Please also ensure you can attend all sessions in a workshop series, for example, if you are unable to make one week from a four-week workshop, we will do our best to cover the missed information with you, however we cannot offer partial bookings, alternative sessions or refunds to cover missed time.
Classes start promptly at the advertised times, so whilst it is important to be on time, please also remember that often our tutors will spend the immediate time beforehand preparing the workshop for you, so we politely ask that you do not arrive more than 10mins early.
Please also understand that we cannot hold the class back if you are running late. We may not be able to go over what you have missed as there is a lot to get through in our classes and it isn’t fair on other class participants if we have to stop and go back to explain things to late students. We advise customers to please check the contact us section of our website and familiarise yourself with The Sew Studio location and nearby parking prior to attending a class.
Workshops postponed or cancelled due to Covid-19:
In a situation where your workshop is unable to go ahead because of government advice or restrictions, you will straight away receive a credit code via email to the full value of the missed event (or partial in the case of a series of sessions where some have already taken place). You can then choose whether you would like to spend this credit in our online store, in our High Street shop, or hold onto it until you can use it to rebook another class.
Workshops and classes cancelled by you
We are unable to offer any refunds for our classes and workshops once you have booked.
If for any reason you are unable to attend please contact us and we will try to find someone to take your place. If this is not possible feel free to send a substitute, just let us know of any name change in advance.
We will always do our best to fill these places but please be aware that in our experience it can be difficult to fill places on classes and workshops at short notice.
If it has been possible for us to find someone to take your place we can then transfer you onto a later date or class of your choice. Places can only be transferred if we find someone to fill your place.
Workshops and classes cancelled by The Sew Studio
The Sew Studio requires full enrolment to go forward with a class. In the unlikely event that a class is cancelled for any reason you will be offered a full refund or we will offer you a place in the class the next time it is scheduled. Unfortunately we cannot accept responsibility for travel/accommodation costs.
If a class must be postponed due to an incident beyond our control e.g. tutor illness, weather-related incident etc., the missed class will be rescheduled and we will do our best to ensure this is at a time to suit all participants.
Please ensure that you have provided us with your correct email address and phone number at the time of booking, to ensure we can get in touch with you easily should any issues arise.
Workshops with multiple dates
If you book a workshop for several days/weeks duration please make sure you can attend all days as no partial refunds can be given for non-attendance. If you miss a week we cannot offer a ‘make up’ class. Please check all the liste
You must be age 16 and over to attend an adult class or workshop. Proof of age may be required.
You are strictly prohibited to use any of the workshop handouts, designs, photography or materials from our classes for your own events, classes or business.
Sew Studio Ltd. reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
