Tuesday February 24th 2026, 6-8pm
If you want to improve your crochet and add some new stitches and skills, this is a great place to start! You will learn how to read a pattern and understand stitch terms and instructions with confidence. The aim is to begin a top-down sweater in February and complete it throughout March, April and May with a different element of the pattern given at each monthly meet-up. You can also bring along your own project for pattern assistance if you get stuck!
IMPORTANT:
Please check here before booking as once purchased, tickets are non-refundable.
SUITABILITY:
This group is suitable for anyone who knows how to make the basic double/treble crochet stitches and wants to learn new things - also those who want to refresh long-forgotten skills. It is not suitable if you are a complete beginner, however we will have beginners classes running soon.
This class is suitable for adults only, age 16+.
WHAT'S INCLUDED:
- Hosting & advice from Aileen
- Pattern & instructions for the project
- Snacks and a hot cuppa!
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- You'll need double-knit yarn in a minimum of 2 colours, approx 500g of each depending on the finished garment size you require. This is a great scrap-busting project if you want to use up all of your odd balls and try new stitches! Just make sure that your yarn weights/content are all consistent.
- Please bring your 3.5mm & 4mm crochet hooks.
STUDIO ACCESS:
The studio is accessed from the main shop down a flight of stairs from the shop with alternative access direct to the basement for anyone requiring an entrance without steps. If you do have any accessibility needs or questions, please let us know in the comments when you book or drop us an email.
When attending any class, we will meet you at the shop front door 10 minutes before the start time. If you are running late and arrive to a closed front door, please go to the side alley (Wilson's Close) to the side entrance (with the bright pink door!) and ring the doorbell.
