Choose your own date for personalised tuition.
Let's get straight to the point of what YOU would like to sew. This is personalised tuition for one-to-one learning, focussing on your own project and on your own machine if you wish!
Ideal for the following:
- An adult or child who wants to learn how to use their new machines. Children must be accompanied by an adult who is also willing to learn how to assist them with troubleshooting and safety at home. Simply book a session! We've got some great projects to choose from to get you started.
- An adult who would like to refresh long-lost skills and gain new confidence. We can focus on the type of project that you would like e.g. bag making or understanding a garment-sewing pattern.
- Tuition on your overlocker, perfect if you own one but are afraid to use it! Book your own session where you can bring it along, learn all about its quirks (including how to thread it!), and all the ways in which an overlocker is so adaptable and useful.
Whatever the focus, Aileen will give you a solid introduction to sewing machine essentials, teaching all the core skills and build your confidence. A choice of introductory projects will be given that reinforce the necessary skills of working with seam allowances, different stitches, and different methods of assembly. You will need to bring some fabric and some basic sewing tools.
